寻隐者不遇
【唐】贾岛
松下问童子，言师采药去。
只在此山中，云深不知处。
Seek but without seeing the Hermit

I ask the lad beneath a pine where his master I can meet.
He says he is gathering herbs in these mountains now,
“Cloud’s so deep and mountains are so steep
And I don’t know his exact whereabout."(秋子树)

Failing to meet a Hermit
I asked the boy beneath the pines,
He said, “The master’s gone alone,
Herb-picking somewhere on the mount,
Cloud-hidden, whereabouts unknown.”
许渊冲译本：
For an Absent Recluse
I ask your lad’ neath the pine tree.
“My master’s gone for herbs,” says he.
You hide amid the mountains proud
I know not where deep in the cloud.

很好。第一次的第二句是长了。修改后就好了。我也是这样做的，第一稿就是随意写下来，而后慢慢修剪，到最后剪无可剪的时候，就可以了。

第二行太长。调整如下：

第一句把问的内容都翻译出来了。原诗中没有，是含蓄的。因为下面的答话就能说明问的内容。而这正是此诗的高明之处。还是不译出来好。那二位大师也都没有译出来，还是这样好。仅供参考。
