1. Remove coolant into a suitable container from the cooling system. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant-Replace" for the correct steps.



2. If the engine oil is contaminated with the coolant, the engine oil and filter must be replaced. Regarding the correct steps,

3. Disconnect the coolant hose from the tube assembly (5).

4. Remove the bolts (6) from the pipe assembly (5). Remove the tube assembly (5) from the engine oil cooler assembly (3).

5. Remove the O-ring seal (7) (not shown) from the tube assembly (5).

6. Remove the bolts (8) and bracket (9) from the engine oil cooler assembly.

7. Remove the booster chamber cover (4). For the correct steps, see Disassembly and assembly, "Turbocharger-disassembly".

8. Remove the bolts (1) from the engine oil cooler. Do not remove the bolts in the (X) position. Cool down the engine oil

While the device assembly is removed from the cylinder block.

Note: The length of each bolt varies. Record the position of the bolts of the different lengths.

9. Remove the gasket (2) (not shown).

1 0. If necessary, follow steps 1 0.a to 1 0c to remove the engine oil cooler.

a. Remove the bolts (13) and (14) from the engine oil cooler assembly (3).

b. Remove the cooler base (12) from the housing (10).

c. Remove the gasket (11).
