LAUNCH X431 SmartLink C 2.0 HD Truck Module may appear the message “This serial number has not activated the commercial vehicle privilege.” when you use it for the first time.

Don’t worry! This means that the SmartLink HD module has not yet been activated and need to be activated by X431 diagnostic tool.

Just complete the activation process as follows.

For example, to activate SmartLink HD by X431 PAD V Elite:

1. Ensure an active internet connection.
2. Open the X-431 app on the device.
3. Select [User Info] in the app>> Activate VCI
4. Inputthe SmartLink Serial Number and Activation Code

Note: your VCI’s 12 digit serial number and 8 digit activation code can be found in the envelope.

5. Click “ACTIVATE”to activate the module.

Once completed, the commercial vehicle privileges for your Launch X431 SmartLink HD will be activated and ready for use.
