Lonsdor Tech has recently released the Lonsdor DOIP Cable, designed specifically for use with the K518 Pro Full Version and FCV Version. This cable enables smart key and all keys lost programming via OBD for the Geely Monjaro (2021-2022) and Buick GL8 Century (2023-). The process is risk-free and user-friendly.

Here’s a step-by-step key programming guide using the 2023 Buick GL8 Century as an example.

We have two original car keys, both of the 4A type. Since we don't have a new key at the moment, we will simulate an "all keys lost" (AKL) scenario and perform the AKL process to program both keys using the K518 Pro.

Step 1:

Locate the sensing area near the cigarette lighter.

Step 2:

On the Lonsdor K518 Pro, select:

IMMO & Remote > Buick > China > GL8 Century > 2023 > DOIP > All keys lost.

Step 3:

Follow the prompts to use the Lonsdor DOIP Adapter to connect the Buick GL8 Century and the K518 Pro key programmer.

Step 4:

Turn on the ignition switch.

Since the car hasn’t been activated, turn on the hazard lights. Press the ignition switch several times to activate the car system and simulate the "all keys lost" situation.

Note: This vehicle requires a password query from a third-party platform. Save the page image and use the VIN to query the password.

Step 5:

Once you've obtained the password, click "OK" and enter it to verify the value.

Step 6:

Enter the authorization code.

Step 7:

Wait approximately 10 minutes for the system to configure.

Step 8:

Place the key to be programmed into the key slot next to the cigarette lighter. Press and hold the ignition switch for 2 to 5 seconds.

The dashboard will show "No.2 key is ready," and you can click "OK." This indicates that the first key has been successfully programmed.

Step 9:

Remove the programmed key and insert the second key to be programmed into the key slot. Repeat the same steps as for the first key.

Step 10:

The dashboard will show "No.3 key is ready." The programming is successful. Click "OK."

Step 11:

The current key count is now 2.

Step 12:

Finally, test the lock/unlock function and start the car. Both programmed keys work as expected!
