OBDSTAR DC706 added VW ME17/MED17 Odometer Recalibration functions in the ECM V30.52 on Feb.22nd, 2024. The models include AUDI BOSCH MED17.1 TCI796 and VOLKSWAGEN BOSCH MED17.1 TC1796. OBDSTAR P003+ Adapter and 120ohm resistor are required to perform this function.

Here takes VW Bosch MED17.5.25 as an example to show how to correct mileage with DC706 on bench.

1.Prepare all goods below:

• OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool Full Version with P003 Adapter Kit

(incl. main cable, 12V2A charger, P003+ Adapter, ECU BENCH cables)

• 120ohm resistor
• VW Bosch MED17.5.25 ECM

2.Keep DC706 ECU Tool charging and communication during the operation, and ensure the network connection is normal.

3.Select ECU Flasher>> Car>> ECM>> ECM V30.52

Input med17.5.25 in the search box to quickly find VOLKSWAGEN BOSCH MED17.5.25 TC1782

4.Check the operation guide and Pinout carefully

Connect device and ECU correctly according to the connection diagram

5.After connection, click [Start], select [BENCH] and [P003+] to perform the following function.

6.Connect ECU successfully

7.Select [VW ME17/MED17 Odometer Recalibration]

OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool identifies the current mileage is 212 KM, input the new mileage you desire (i.e.456)

Confirm the value, and the software will write the mileage successfully.

Try again. Overwrite the mileage to 112KM, the mileage is also written by OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Programmer successfully.

Finally, click [Disconnect] to end the operation.
