Eobdtool.co.uk engineer tested and confirmed that VW MPC555/6-VAG EDC16U1 EEPROM can be read and written by KT200/KTM200 ECU programmer in Bench mode without any issue.
This is VW MPC555/6-VAG Bosch EDC16U1 ECU module.
Before the operation, connect KT200 ECU programmer to VW ECU and computer by the PINOUT line and USB cable correctly
The connection diagram can be checked in the KT200 software
Open KT200 software(V22.08.20)
Click ‘Select Driver’
Select BENCH MODE>> VOLKSWAGEN>> MPC555/6-VAG>> EDC16U1>> INFO
Pinout connection:
Pin5: +12V (Red)
Pin18: +12V (Red)
Pin1: GND (Black)
Pin72: K-line (Green)
Pin58: Brown
Pin28: White
Back to the main interface and click ‘OK’ to enter the operation page
Click ‘Connect’ to read ECU data
Then click ‘Read Eeprom’
Create a file name to save the original data
Keep the ECU power on
Save data successfully, turn the dashboard off
Finally, click ‘Write Eeprom’
Open the original data to write into the new ECU
Keep the ECU power on
Write data successfully, turn the dashboard off
