美国国债的最大债权人是谁？核心提示：不是中国

在美国总统奥巴马和国会关于借债的上限谈判破裂之后，不少美国人，特别是在华盛顿的政治家，当然也包括很多国外的人士，他们很多人认为中国是美国政府这14.3万亿国债($14.3 trillion USD)的最大债权人。
而实际上呢？真实情况可能正好相反，虽然中国和日本拥有美国政府很多的国债，但真正拥有最多的美国政府国债的债权人是美国机构和美国人自己。根据美国《Business Insider》所报道的，下面是具体债权人排名，从小到大。• 香港，Hong Kong: $121.9 billion (0.9 percent)
• 加勒比银行：Caribbean banking centers: $148.3 (1 percent)
• 台湾：Taiwan: $153.4 billion (1.1 percent)
• 巴西：Brazil: $211.4 billion (1.5 percent)
• 中东石油输出国：Oil exporting countries: $229.8 billion (1.6 percent)
• 共同基金Mutual funds: $300.5 billion (2 percent)
• 商业银行：Commercial banks: $301.8 billion (2.1 percent)
• 州、联邦政府退休基金：State, local and federal retirement funds: $320.9 billion (2.2 percent)
• 货币市场基金：Money market mutual funds: $337.7 billion (2.4 percent)
• 英国：United Kingdom: $346.5 billion (2.4 percent)
• 私有退休金：Private pension funds: $504.7 billion (3.5 percent)
• 州、联邦政府：State and local governments: $506.1 billion (3.5 percent)
• 日本：Japan: $912.4 billion (6.4 percent)
• 美国家庭基金：U.S. households: $959.4 billion (6.6 percent)

从上面咱们不难看出，美国的Social Security Trust才是真正的最大债权人。中国只是在国外债权人中，相对比例较大，占总国债的8%。在整个14.3万亿国债中，美国政府欠国外人的4.5万亿，而欠美国人自己的9.8万亿美元。
