Everyone knows that sports fans are passionate about supporting their teams and they do this in a variety of different ways. Some people don’t miss a single game that their team play, others watch their events on television and many buy merchandise to show others who they support. Ice hockey is no exception to the rule and many fans buyjerseys to show their support.
There are many different reasons why people buy jerseys and one of them is to show which team is their favourite. Whether they are going to a live match or watching it on television, it is a great way of becoming united with fellow supporters. It’s one of the best ways to distinguish who supports which team and helps fellow fans gather together.
If a team is doing particularly well then fans like to wear the relevant jerseys to show that they are proud of their team. Sales always improve when a team has won a major match which shows that people like to be associated with groups who are doing well and have been successful.

Sports tops were once only for people who religiously followed a particular team whereas nowadays people may just be wearing a certain top because they like the design. Wearing jerseys also helps fans to feel like they belong to a group. When one fan sees someone else wearing a shirt for the same team they support they are more likely to give them a smile in the street or strike up a conversation at an event. No doubt this is because they feel like they have something in common with each other and have something to talk about.
Just like with any sport, jerseys are an important part of being a fan. Seeing hundreds of people wearing their shirt will also help the actual teams feel like they are appreciated. This will help to encourage them to do well as they know that they have the support of all their fans behind them.
