范光陵院士為国际誉为西方社会地位最高的文藝復興人 Renaissance Man ，國際上简稱為三冠才子，即世界桂冠詩人 (Poet-Laureate)、中国電腦之父、 与毕加索，马蒂斯同为近现代世界十二大画家。他詩書畫三絕，名滿國際。 “電腦" 中文二字即他所首創。公立臺灣大學畢業，美国博士、美国哥倫比亞大學及哈佛大学博士后。美国加州大学正教授及国际犮展主席，台湾第二名校公立成功大學管理學院院長。當選美國，意大利，日本等国院士及名誉博士。40多次擔任世界會議主席及首席主讲人，遍曆世界80余國。美国好萊塢明星群曽盛邀他以英文演講，獲國際大獎多次。任世界文化總會長，中華文化協會會長，中華工商管理學會理事長。在世界各地寫詩作畫,，以他的詩画所作紀念碑遍佈两岸中国河南，安徽，浙江，上海，臺湾碧山岩、石門、清靜農場、苗栗等地。  

Dr. Fan is admired by the world as the Renaissance man, Genius with three crowns as well as poet-laureate of the world，Father of computers in China, one of the 12 master painters in the modern world  with Picasso and Matisse. He is the leader in poetry， calligraphy， painting with a worldwide known status. He coined the term：“Electronic Computer” in Chinese. Dr. Fan is a National Taiwan University graduate , PhD from USA, Post-doctorate from the famous Colombia University and Harvard University, Professor and international chairman at California State University, Dean of Management Science, National Cheng Kung University. Also he was elected academician and honorary doctorate from USA, Italy, Japan, etc. He also visited more than 80 countries. Hollywood movie stars welcomed him with high respect. Dr. Fan earned various awards around the world, He serves as the president of various organizations around the world too. Monuments for him and his works are everywhere.

范光陵於在美國大学执教多年。32岁时他應臺灣 "教育部" 之邀到臺灣講學，被蒋介石先生约见。蒋经国先生带公子蒋孝武拜范光陵为师。二公子蒋纬国和范光陵成了最亲密的兄弟。他開創了"新古詩运动"，被中国著名文人臧克家稱為中國古詩在當今中国的三大流派之一。他曾在1987年紐約舉行的世界詩人大會上獲 "世界桂冠詩人" 稱號。他宣導企業 "詩意管理"。他又將詩画合一艺术哲学思想，世界第一画在油畫画布上，創立了世界绘畫中的 "詩意油畫派"。

Dr. Fan taught at American universities for years. He was invited by Taiwan's Ministry of Education to lecture. He was in audience with president Chiang Kai-Shek. Later, president Chiang Ching Kuo made his own son Dr. Fan's student. Chiang Kai-Shek's second son Wego became Dr. Fan's best friend. Dr. Fan founded the “New Old-Poetry Movement" in China and for the world. It was ranked as one of the three major school of poetry thoughts in China. Dr. Fan was crowned "Poet-laureate of the world" at the 1987 World Congress of Poets, NY. He innovated "Poetic Management" thought. Furthermore, he integrated Chinese "Painting plus poetry philosophy " and be the first one in the world directly painted it on the canvas of oil paintings. So as to found the "poetic oil painting” art.

中国政府重要出版社以中英文出版 “孔子哲思” 一书，封面为范光陵诗意油画 “八千里”. 获得美国金艺朮奖 （右下金印）。

Chinese Central Government published the book 《Confucius ' Philosophical Thinking》by Confucius, recompiled by Dr. Fan Kuanling (Kenneth Guang Ling）， first one in history for 2500 years .
